A local way to find tradespeople in Blacktown City
Blacktown Tradies connects homeowners with businesses that say they work in their suburb. Homeowners can request a quote for free; approved businesses get an 8-week free membership, then pay $9.95 per week including GST per trade category.
Our role
We provide the introduction. The tradie quotes and carries out the work directly. We don't do trade work, employ tradies, supervise the work or guarantee the outcome.
When a homeowner confirms a request by SMS, we send it to no more than 5 businesses that list the trade and suburb, and they may contact the homeowner directly. If no business covers the job, it isn't sent to anyone and we say so.
Blacktown Tradies is an independent website. It isn't affiliated with Blacktown City Council or NSW Fair Trading.
What we check
We confirm each homeowner's mobile number with an SMS code. When they join, tradies confirm they hold the licences and insurance their work requires, but we don't independently check those documents at present.
Check a licence with NSW Fair Trading and ask to see insurance before work starts. You can check a licence on the NSW Government website.
How it's paid for
Sending a request is free for homeowners, and there's no obligation to hire. The business you hire charges you for its work.
Approved businesses receive an 8-week free membership from when their profile goes live, then pay $9.95 per week including GST for each approved trade category. There are no per-lead charges and no commission on the work they win, and they can cancel anytime. See how membership works.
